Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme run by The Broke and the Bookish.
I’m kind of glad this list is based on authors I’ve already read. If it was authors I want to read, I’d have been in serious trouble! I think I’d need a five-part series of blog posts to cover them all! All but two of the books I listed here are the first books in a series. I’m pretty good at continuing a series when I love the first book – it might take a few years, but it’ll happen!
All author and book cover pics are from Goodreads – with a bit of designing on PicMonkey thrown in – and the book links are to their respective Goodreads page.
J.K. Rowling – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
Sarah J. Maas – Throne of Glass
A.G. Howard – Splintered
Marissa Meyer – Cinder
Yeah… I’ve only read one J.K. Rowling book. I do plan on changing this! I do own all seven Harry Potter books now, so it will happen. One day! Soon… Throne of Glass, Splintered and Cinder are all pretty recent reads. I read them over the summer and I loved each one. I do own Scarlet already, so Marissa Meyer won’t be on this list for much longer. As for Unhinged and Crown of Midnight – the minute I’m unleashed onto The Book Depository or Amazon’s website to do some book shopping, they shall be MINE!
Kelly Creagh – Nevermore
Rachel Caine – Glass Houses
Beth Revis – Across the Universe
Tabitha Suzuma – Forbidden
I read Nevermore, Glass Houses and Across the Universe back at the beginning of this year, and I really want to continue on with each series as soon as I can. I adored Nevermore, and I swore I’d get Enshadowed immediately after finishing it – months later and I haven’t got it yet. It’s a similar situation with Across the Universe. With Glass Houses, I was a little on the fence with some things, but the more time that’s gone by since I read the book, I really want to see what happens in book two! Forbidden killed me. Oh my goodness, I was a wreck for days after I read it. I know Tabitha Suzuma has another book that was released recently, Hurt, that I really want to read – when my emotions can handle it! Looking at the reviews, it’s not getting the same level of love as Forbidden did. Then again, how the hell can you outdo Forbidden?!
Colleen Hoover – Slammed
Morgan Matson – Amy and Rogers Epic Detour
I have so many Colleen Hoover and Morgan Matson books on my TBR lists, but my problem is choosing which book they’ve written to read next!
What authors do you need to read more books from? Leave a link to your TTT post so I can stop by!
This is a great list! I stalled out around book 8 with the Morganville series. Your list reminds me that I need to get back to it sooner rather than later. :D
ReplyDeleteOoh glad you liked the Morganville series. When I saw that it has 13 or 14 books already released, I was kind of intimidated to start! I think I'll try books two and three, and make up my mind after I read them if I want to continue on with the others. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOhhhhh Morgan Matson also wrote Amy and Rogers Epic Detour???? Ok ok and then her new book is out too! Yes I seriously need to read her work as well, AND GO READ HARRY POTTER. AND SCARLET (actually reading that now), AND EVERYTHING ON THIS LIST!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get "unleashed" to your book shopping soon LOL
Oooh hope you love Scarlet! I'm thinking of reading it sometime next week :D Hope we both love it! I'm a little afraid to start Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets... I'm sure I will actually love it, but there is that little voice that keeps popping up saying 'what if I don't'?! *gulp* And I really hope you love Amy and Rogers Epic Detour, definitely try and read it soon!
DeleteI'm so excited for you to finish read more of the Cinder and Throne of Glass series, I think they get better with each book. Also, Harry Potter obviously gets super epic. Hope you enjoy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my TTT.

I can't wait to finish them, too! I loved Throne of Glass so much, I cannot wait to continue on with Crown of Midnight and Heir of Fire. Thanks Kat!
DeleteNice! I still need to read 1 book from A.G. Howard, but it's in my TBR mountain! Actually just finished Scarlet today by Marissa too! And naturally, I've read all of Harry Potter! Hope you get around to reading the authors that you want to!

I loved Amy and Rogers Epic Detour, and I've wanted to read Since You've Been Gone for a long time! Thanks Isabel!
DeleteI definitely need to continue on with Harry Potter! I'm a bit scared I won't love them as much as I think I will... eep! And yes, I was looking at the release dates for #4, #5 and #6 in the Throne of Glass series, it'll mean literally YEARS of waiting *sobs* I think I might try Maybe Someday, I've had it on my TBR list for a while now - bout time I actually get a copy and read it! Thanks Rachel!
