Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme run by The Broke and the Bookish.
I got a pleasant surprise when I went back and had a look at my Summer 2014 TBR list. I read 7 out of the 10 books I listed! This is a huge improvement over my Spring TBR, where I only managed 4… oops? The actual topic this week is “Ten Books On My Fall 2014 TBR List,” but I’m doing a little spin on it. I don’t own any of these books, but I plan on reading these as soon as I can get my grabby hands on them. (Yes, I’m looking at ye, Crown of Midnight, Unhinged and Boundless!)
All links blow the book covers are to each books Goodreads page.
The Want List
Enshadowed by Kelly Creagh // Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White // Crane by Stacey Rourke // Storm Glass by Maria V. Snyder
I’ve had my eye on Illusions of Fate and Crane for a while now. Crane looks like the prefect Halloween-ish read, and the reviews for Illusions of Fate seem to be quite positive so far. Enshadowed is Book #2 in the Nevermore series. I said I would get this book right after I read Nevermore back at the start of the year, but the release date for Book #3 keeps being put back. I hate long wait times between books in a series, and I’m hoping that the summer 2015 release date sticks! With Shadow Study on the way for real this time, and it continuing on after the Glass series ends, I really want to start the trilogy as soon as I can.
The ASAP List
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins // Queen of the Dead by Stacey Kade // Cress by Marissa Meyer
With Winter set to be released at the end of 2015, there isn’t too much of a rush to read Cress… oh who am I kidding!? I'll still read it! I read The Ghost and the Goth over the summer, and I loved it so much more than I was expecting. I love ghostly stories, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the trilogy. I think Anna and the French Kiss has been on so many of my “must read” or “need to read” lists! I REALLY do intend to read it as soon as I can!
The NEED List
Unhinged by A.G. Howard // Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas // Boundless by Cynthia Hand
I. Need. These. Books. NOW! I could add Heir of Fire to this list as well. Both Unhinged and Crown of Midnight are Book #2 in their respective series, and Boundless is the conclusion to the Unearthly trilogy. I have no idea what happens in Boundless, and I’ve managed to avoid all spoilers, and I want to keep it that way! I need Crown of Midnight. It's only been a few weeks since I read Throne of Glass, and I miss Celaena and Chaol already! There is only one word I can say about Unhinged: Morpheus…
What do you think of the books on my list, and what books are you planning on reading this autumn?
Having read the three books out in the Throne of Glass series, I will say that Crown of Midnight is my favorite. I loved it, loved it, loved it. I bought Storm Glass not too long ago, but haven't started it yet. It took me almost a year to read Boundless because I was terrified of all the feels. I hope you enjoy all your books. Happy reading.
