Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR list


Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme run by The Broke and the Bookish. This week the topic is our Top Ten Books On Our Summer TBR lists.


Looking back at my Spring 2014 TBR post, I’ve only read 4 out of the 10 books I listed. Let’s see if I can do a little better this time around!


Just released, or soon to be released books


Four out of these five are series continuations: Resistance – #4 in the Night School series; Rain – #2 in the Paper God’s series; Dust to Dust – #9 and the finial book in the Experiment in Terror series and Opposition – #5 and the final Lux book. I’m determined to finish some series and trilogies this year. I start dozens and dozens of series, but actually completing them is a rarer occurrence! I’m very curious about Boomerang. Veronica Roth writing NA? I’ll try it!


Books on my shelves I want to read this Summer


Harry Potter won’t be a re-read… I haven’t read the series yet, so it’s about time I started it! Breakable, Cinder, Throne of Glass and Shadow and Bone are all books I hope I’ll love. I’ve learned my lesson not to go into hyped books with too high expectations, so I’m trying to keep things in check!

    I haven't actually finished reading the Potter books either, and funnily enough, was actually considering sticking them on my list for this summer! I hope you enjoy them -- I got a bit sick of the hype back when they were coming out, so I'm hoping to re-experience them separate from that.

      I did the same, I avoided them as they were so popular! It'll be nice to read them all with not too much outside influence. Thanks for stopping by :)

    Oh I love it when people get through Harry Potter for the first time. Hype aside, they are such good books. And I love Shadow and Bone so much! I'm so excited for Opposition too, not too much longer now!

      I hope I love the HP books. I don't see any reason why I won't, but I'll try to go in with realistic expectations! And yes! A little over a month to go until Opposition! It sucks when a series ends, but I'm really hoping it lives up to the previous books =)

    OH MY WORD! Get the HP series read as a major, massive, world-ending priority! It's SOO good! I wish I could experience it from the start all over again!

    Cinder, Throne of Glass, Shadow and Bone and Lux are all on my TBR pile for when I ever get the chance to actually read alllll the books....

      LOL! I'll definitely start the HP series very soon. Hopefully I'll love it. And oh gosh, my TBR pile scares me so much! I know it'll take years to get around to reading them all, and yet I still convince myself I need more books :D

    All of your books that you want to read this summer except Breakable are on my extended TBR list. I see them so often and hear some good things about them all. Harry Potter is my biggest shame though, I have never read any of them...

    Throne of Glass is awesome and the sequel is even more amazing. And you must read Harry Potter. Happy reading.

    I really love Thrown of Glass. It was a really good book. And I also have Opposition on my top ten. I can not wait for that book!
