Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme run by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week, we can choose our own topic! I had a quick look back over the previous topics that were covered before I began blogging, and this one kept catching my eye: 10 Books I Wish I Could Read Again For the 1st Time.
I’d love to be able to read ALL of my favourite books again for the first time, so narrowing those books down to only ten has been torturous! I tried to avoid picking similar books to past lists I've made... but I love some of these books too much to overlook them, and a few did end up making it into my list!
This list is in no particular order.
- Dead Sky Morning by Karina Halle – This book contains one of the most terrifying scenes I’ve read. EVER. I know Karina is starting to becoming known for contemporary books, but for me, horror is her best genre. By. A. MILE!
- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins – I LOVE this trilogy so much, but I wish I’d appreciated it a little more when I read it the first time. I do plan on rereading the series later on this year, but while I love rereading, it’s never a hundred percent the same…
- A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – Ok, this entry should probably read EVERYTHING Sarah J. Maas has ever written!
- Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout – Ooh, how I hated Daemon’s guts when I read Obsidian. My opinion did change a LOT by the end of the series!
- Truth by Aleatha Romig – This trilogy is seriously messed up, but I would LOVE to experience it all again!
- Angelfall by Susan Ee – *Gasp* Another list I added Angelfall to?! Bet you didn’t see this one coming…
- Splintered by A.G. Howard – I’d love to relive discovering this awesomely dark version of Wonderland all over again. Oh, and we can’t forget meeting Morpheus!
- Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi – This is still one of the best sequels to a first book I’ve ever read, and the entire trilogy has a special place in my heart.
- Easy by Tammara Webber – It’s one of the few New Adult books that I completely adore, and I’d be really curious to see what I’d think of it now.
- Say Her Name by James Dawson – I only read this book for the first time this year, but horror books are so hard to reread! The unknown is known and the twists and scares don’t have the same impact, so it’s never quite the same.
What do you think of my list? And! Which books would you choose to read again for the first time? Tell me in the comments below (and feel free to leave a link to your TTT post if you have one.)
Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Reading!

Old Follower :)
I loved both of them, too :D Thanks for stopping by, Jessica!
DeleteI am very happy because I HAVEN'T READ ANY OF THESE except for Splintered, and even then I still have to read Unhinged. FOR ME, I would want to read The Book Thief, FOR THE FIRST TIME, because that was so beautiful. Maybe I'll just reread it and pretend I never read it. HA.
ReplyDeleteOhh my gosh, I'm so envious! You'll get to read them all FOR THE FIRST TIME! *Sniffles* BUT, I haven't read The Book Thief! I've heard lots of good things about it, i'll have to try and get my hands on it soon. (Rereading is never exactly the same, but it'll be worth it :D I love the books far too much not to enjoy the stories all over again!) Thanks for stopping by, Val!
DeleteNice list! I'd love to reread The Hunger Games. I haven't read A Court of Thorns and Roses yet but I'm excited to!

Ooh, I really hope you love ACoTaR! I hope to reread it at some stage later on in the year. I'm sort of planning on a Hunger Games reread in June... *fingers crossed* it'll happen! Thanks for stopping by!
