It's such a fine line finding a book ...Oh yeah! It's such a fine line finding a book with a perfect balance of pages vs content. I'm usually on the "lose 50-100 pages" camp, it's a change to be asking for more. It would have rounded out things a little better I think. <br /><br />That was my favourite part of the book: I absolutely loved that the focus was on the person, not appearance. I'd love to read more YA like it. There has to be a perfect balance, which I think between 300-400 if enough. But we definitely need more characters like Nim, and love that the romance focuses more on the <i>person</i> and not their appearances'. I ...This is new to me and you got me quite curious. I don't mind short stories, unless they're really poorly developed. But then, so may be the case of some novels, huh? I get your point, it's frustrating when the story cries for more and yes, a slower pace perhaps would have helped here. At least from what I gather from your review.
